I used freeware for making this website and found lots of great references on the Internet to guide me through the simple steps I used to build and publish the website.

GoDaddy.com

Okay, GoDaddy isn't free.  After I read about the horrors of free hosting I searched for the lowest cost server and with some promotional discounts that turned out to be GoDaddy.  I had already registered JoePivetti.com with GoDaddy so I got another free domain and upgraded hosting to Deluxe ($24 over 2 years additional) to have the add-on domain, jp4engineering.com (under construction).  I have used instant messaging twice with GoDaddy and the help has been good (no wait the first time and about 10 minute wait the second time but worth the wait).

BlueGriffon

BlueGriffon has a free version of their Wysiwyg software and a large user community that shares advice.  The Internet is full of home made manuals for BlueGriffon so I did not need to buy their manual (it wasn't even available yet when I wrote this acknowledgement).  There are some glitches in the software but what do you want for free.  The Website Wizard pointed out some of the glitches so I wasn't distressed when I encountered them.  BlueGriffon.com = http://www.bluegriffon.com/

The Website Wizard

What a wonderful site for learning how to make a website.  I just followed his very clear directions and voila, I have a great start. TheSiteWizard = http://www.thesitewizard.com/

Excel, MSPaint, ArtWeaver Free

I used standard software to make images.  Even though I have PainShopPro, I found ArtWeaver Free easier to use so far for creating images with layers (even if I flattened them later).

More

I am sure there will be more as I improve the site.
